Sue Anne Myers, 84, of Odon, passed away peacefully on December 28th, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family at Ketcham Memorial Center.

Born March 29th, 1941 to Ernest Woodsmall and Marguerite Harris (George Cates), Sue lived a full and vibrant life marked by passion, determination, and deep love for those closest to her.

She married the love of her life, John Myers, on September 20th, 1973. Together they shared over 50 years of love and memories with their children: Tammy (John) Fricke; Terry (Randy) Huff; Mark (Teresa) Myers; and Bruce (Angie) Myers.

Sue was a woman of strong convictions and took great interest in politics, always eager for thoughtful conversation and never afraid to stand up for what she believed in. In 1988, she served as a presidential elector for the 8th district.

Sue was also a proud business owner, running The Clothes Patch and The Odon Journal with dedication, style and heart. She loved connecting with people and had a gift for making others feel confident and seen – whether through a conversation or outfit. Sue loved her community, heading fundraisers for things like streetlights on Main Street and the emergency siren in Odon. She served as president of the Odon Business Alliance for many years.

An avid sports fan, Sue rarely missed a game and enjoyed cheering on her favorite teams, often surrounded by her family and friends.

Her greatest joy, however, was time spent with those she loved most. Family meant everything to Sue, and she will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose love knew no bounds.

Sue is survived by her husband; children; brother, Robert (Pat) Woodsmall; 9 grandchildren: Derek Myers; Morgan Wininger; Macy (Michael) Wilson; Adam Myers; Emily Myers; Christa (Todd) Curtis; Brooke (Jared) Pyne; Lindsay (Shane) Skinner; Dani Fricke; and 5 great-grandchildren: Riley Stoll; Madison Wilson; Remy Wilson; Arie Wilson; Maevyn Wilson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 children: Wendell Speer and Angela Speer; and grandson, Jordan Wininger.

Services to honor Sue will be held on Friday, January 2nd, 2025 at Meng Funeral Home in Odon with visitation from 11am until 1pm. Funeral service will begin at 1pm. Sue will be laid to rest at Walnut Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by donating to Ketcham Memorial Center.

Though she will be deeply missed, Sue’s legacy lives on in her family, her community, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.mengfuneralhome.com.
