Indiana State Police say an estimated $7 million worth of cocaine was seized during a routine traffic stop in Putnam County. Troopers stopped a semi on I-70 near the 41-mile marker Saturday afternoon for a DOT compliance inspection. After noticing criminal indicators and receiving a positive alert from a K-9, troopers searched the truck and discovered 309 pounds of cocaine hidden in the sleeper berth. The two occupants were taken into custody and transported to the Putnam County Jail. Both face Level 2 felony charges of dealing narcotics, and ICE detainers have been placed on each. The semi was traveling from Joplin, Missouri, to Richmond, Indiana.
