Two WHS Students Win American Legion Government Award

Two Washington High School students have been honored with the American Legion Americanism and Government Award. Sydney Sandullo and Harrison Merold were selected as winners of the contest at WHS and went on to win at the American Legion District 7 level. The competition includes a written exam on the U.S. Constitution and national, state, and local government, as well as an essay component. The students were recognized alongside American Legion and school officials during a recent presentation at the high school.
