Washington Community Schools announced that more than $22,500 was raised for the Washington Primary School Playground Project through a recent community fundraiser. The district reported a total of $22,569.63 in donations from students, families, staff, alumni, and community supporters. Because the fundraising challenge was exceeded, Washington Community Schools will operate on a two-hour delay today, January 20th. Officials say the funds will help create a new, safe, and inclusive playground for primary students. The district thanked donors and community partners, including Our Community Foundation, for helping coordinate the effort.
