Two big local festivals have announced the entertainment line-up for 2026. The Montgomery Turkey Trot Festival is proud to welcome John Foster from American Idol on the big stage Friday night, September 11th. Foster is a rising star and captured the hearts of millions of people as runner-up on the popular series American Idol last season. Saturday night, September 12th, will be a huge night as country legends Lonestar will hit the big stage. With hit after hit, Lonestar continues to tour and entertain the masses all over the country. The live music will continue in the beer garden at the Turkey Trot, with Sam Hahn performing on Friday night and another big rising band from Florida, “Gunshine,” on the beer garden stage Saturday night. This year’s Turkey Trot Festival will be September 10-13 at the Montgomery Ruritan Park.
In Loogootee at the Summerfest on Friday night, June 19th, another American Idol alum, Alex Miller, will be performing. Alex Miller stole the show on Season 19 of Idol in 2021 and brings his rich country sound to the free stage at the Loogootee downtown park stage on June 19th. Then Saturday, June 20th, a popular favorite will return to Summerfest with “Dirty Deeds USA,” an Extreme AC/DC Tribute Show. Both shows will be free. The Loogootee Summerfest is scheduled for June 18-20th on the new stage downtown.
