The Daviess Community Hospital Foundation will introduce a new fundraiser this spring with its first Hoops for Healthcare event on Friday, March 20, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the National Guard Armory in Washington. The March Madness watch party replaces the Foundation’s former Kentucky Oaks Derby Gala and will feature live coverage of opening-round college basketball games throughout the venue. Home Building Savings Bank is serving as the presenting sponsor. The family-friendly event will include basketball-themed games, activities, and food and beverages for purchase. Proceeds will help fund therapy equipment for patients at Daviess Community Hospital and the CORE Center. Foundation Director Angie Steiner said the event offers a fun way for the community to come together while supporting local healthcare needs.
