Ghost has officially made their cover of the Pet Shop Boys classic “It’s a Sin” available on streaming platforms for the first time. The track had previously been limited to a 7-inch vinyl bonus included with deluxe versions of the band’s 2018 album Prequelle. Its wider release fulfills co-writer Neil Tennant’s long-standing belief that “’It’s a Sin’, at its heart, is a heavy metal record.”

The announcement was revealed through the latest installment of Ghost’s ongoing mythology series on YouTube, specifically Episode 24: Frater Is Delegating, which revisits the Frater Imperator era when the song first appeared as a bonus release.

The Grammy-winning Swedish rock group has a history of reimagining well-known songs, most recently with their 2023 covers EP Phantomime, which featured interpretations of tracks by Iron Maiden, Genesis, and Tina Turner. Their latest studio album, Skeletá, arrived in 2025.

Ghost is also wrapping up the latest leg of their Skeletour World Tour, which launched on January 21 at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida, before wrapping up on February 23 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
