Tri Kappa Week will be celebrated February 22–28 in Washington, following a proclamation issued by Mayor Dave Rhoads recognizing the organization’s longstanding impact in the community. Focus on the Community this weekend will spotlight the local Tri Kappa Beta Zeta chapter and highlight its history and service efforts. Founded in 1901, Tri Kappa is a statewide philanthropic women’s organization built on the pillars of charity, culture, and education. The Washington chapter, established in 1915, currently includes 30 active members and continues to support scholarships, local schools, the library, the hospital, and other community initiatives. The program will air at 8:30 a.m. Saturday on Memories 107.9 FM and at 8:30 a.m. Sunday on The General 95.9 and 101.3 FM.
