The Bedford Hiking Club will host a historic walk in Vincennes on Saturday, March 14, in celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary. The event, part of the Volkswalk series, begins behind the Indiana Historic Sites at 1 Harrison Street, with check-in from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants may choose between an 11-kilometer (6.8-mile) route or a shorter 5-kilometer (3.2-mile) option. The walk will highlight landmarks throughout Vincennes, including sites connected to George Rogers Clark and Abraham Lincoln. The non-competitive event is open to the public and costs $4 for adults. Dogs are welcome on a leash, though some indoor stops do not allow pets. Walkers are encouraged to bring water and wear comfortable shoes.
