Daviess County Council President Tony Duncheon guided the Council through a short agenda in a little over six minutes Wednesday morning. The Council approved a request from Superior Court Judge Dan Murrie for an additional appropriation of $10,000 to fund court interpreters. The Council also approved the expenditure of $60,000 already in the Airport Budget for maintenance and repairs to the thirty-year-old main building at the airport. In other business: the Council designated the use of the Riverboat Fund to pay for already approved matching funds for a grant for West Boggs and a previously approved request of $5,000 for Land Bank contract services. The next County Council meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m., Wednesday, April 8.
