The 2026 Indiana legislative session has concluded, with House Republicans announcing that all of their priority bills passed the General Assembly. Among them, House Enrolled Act 1001 aims to increase housing supply and reduce homeownership costs by cutting regulations, while House Enrolled Act 1002 focuses on improving energy affordability and reliability, including protections for low-income residents. Additional legislation streamlines state boards and commissions and reduces regulatory requirements for K-12 schools. The measures have either been signed by the governor or are awaiting his signature to become law.
