The Great Washington Smoke Off is set for May 8 and 9 at Eastside Park in Washington, bringing a barbecue competition to the community. The event will feature a $50 entry donation, with meat provided for the first 15 teams. Awards will include prizes for first place in each category, a $250 People’s Choice award, and a $1,000 Grand Champion prize based on overall scores. Awards are scheduled to be presented around 1:30 p.m. on May 9. Cook time will run overnight from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. Entry forms and contest rules are available at the park office, online, and on Facebook.
