
Emergency crews responded Thursday afternoon to a reported ammonia leak near State Road 257 and County Road 450 South in Washington. The call came in just before 2 p.m., with reports of a tanker possibly leaking ammonia in a field near the Seven Curves area. Multiple agencies, including fire units and EMS, were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, crews were able to tighten a valve on the tanker and eventually shut off the leak. A representative from the company that owns the tank was also called to assist. No injuries were reported, and all units cleared the scene shortly before 2:45 p.m.
