Registration is now open for a community 5K celebrating America’s 250th anniversary in downtown Washington sponsored by Daviess Community Hospital. The free run and walk will take place Saturday, June 13, beginning and ending at the Daviess County Courthouse. Check-in runs from 8 to 8:30 a.m., with the race starting at 9 a.m. Organizers say the route will highlight Washington’s historic downtown, observing local landmarks along the way. The event is open to all ages, with swag bags for the first 100 participants and medals awarded to the first 75 finishers.
