The Daviess County Museum will host a free public program titled “Frontier Life” on Saturday, May 9 at 1 p.m. at its location on East Main Street in Washington. Knox County Historian Dennis Latta will lead the presentation, focusing on the daily lives of early pioneers in the Daviess County area, including the challenges they faced, their survival skills, and the social and cultural landscape before Indiana achieved statehood. Museum Director Monty Critchlow says Latta returns following a well-received program last year and is known for his engaging and in-depth historical insights. The event is part of local America 250 observances and kicks off the museum’s upcoming series of seasonal programs. Additional presentations are scheduled for June 20 and August 29. The public is invited to attend.
