North Daviess Schools are wrapping up another busy year, with graduation and summer preparations just around the corner. Superintendent Jodi Berry says the district has seen continued growth, including facility upgrades like a new high school roof, elementary improvements, and expanded classroom space. Berry highlighted the school’s focus on hands-on learning, with students gaining real-world experience through internships and work-based learning opportunities in the community. She says the district is working to better prepare students for a variety of paths after graduation, including trades, college, and the workforce. At the elementary level, North Daviess continues to emphasize reading development, STEM education, and student support systems to help meet individual learning needs. Several staffing additions have also been made ahead of next year, including a new assistant principal and boys basketball coach, along with multiple teaching and support positions. Important upcoming dates include senior awards on May 10, the last day of school on May 21, and graduation set for May 22. Summer school begins June 1, with the next school year starting August 12.
