Jasper’s new outdoor pool is attracting large crowds, with recent weekend attendance reaching 971 visitors, nearly double the opening weekend total of 517. Park and Recreation Director Tom Moorman shared the update at a recent Redevelopment Commission meeting, highlighting the popularity of features like slides and wet deck chairs. The commission also approved a $6,566 payment to Hafer Associates for pool design services, bringing the total to $480,396. A $285,000 bond payment is due July 15, with payments continuing through 2037. Additionally, officials discussed Tax Increment Finance (TIF) revenues, noting no pass-through funds are available to other taxing units this year due to funding requirements.
