Lots to do this weekend around our area. The Daviess County Fair continues tonight at the fairgrounds in Elnora. The rides and midway open at 6pm. In the arena, it’s the Junkyard Races beginning at 7:30pm; admission is 10 dollars. And the Foam Homies Party is back tonight on the grounds. The fair will wrap up tomorrow.
In Loogootee, the Summerfest continues on the square downtown. On the new stage tonight, Alexia Cabellero will perform at 6pm, and Cody Ikerd and the Sidewinders take over around 8pm. The rides are up and running at 5pm, and the pickleball tournament starts tonight at the courts at the city pool. In Ferdinand, the Heimatfest is in full swing. The Kids Fun Zone opens at 5pm, and your entertainment tonight will be GTP starting at 8pm. There will be a cornhole tournament beginning at 7pm. That festival will also continue all day tomorrow in Ferdinand.
