Daviess Community Hospital will host its annual oncology cookout fundraiser on Wednesday, August 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the hospital cafeteria. The event benefits the Oncology Patient Assistance Fund, which helps local cancer patients overcome barriers to treatment. The donation-based cookout will feature classic summer favorites including hotdogs, hamburgers, baked beans, coleslaw, and desserts. No set fee will be charged, donations can be made by cash, check, or employee payroll deduction. Hospital staff, community volunteers, and local partners like Walmart and Thrivent are helping make the event possible. The DCH Auxiliary is also contributing homemade desserts.
