The Daviess County Museum will welcome Knox County Historian Dennis Latta on Saturday, July 12 at 6 p.m. for a free presentation on the 1788 Vincennes Donation Lands. Latta will explore how Congress granted 400 acres to French families in the Vincennes area, shaping early settlement in Knox and Daviess Counties. The event is part of the museum’s “Struggle for Liberty” series tied to the America 250 celebration. The final program in the series will take place on September 13 and focus on William Henry Harrison, Tecumseh, and the Battle of Tippecanoe.
