Rise Recovery has received a $196,200 matching capital grant from Indiana United Ways to establish a new community-based recovery center in Washington. Located near the jail and accessible to the public, the center will support individuals reentering society after incarceration, as well as anyone in the community seeking help for mental health or substance use issues. The facility will offer peer-led recovery coaching, group classes, and other support services. Renovations begin in June and are expected to take four months. The new space will include expanded staff, community rooms, and courses on life skills, mindfulness, and healthy living. United Way of Daviess County partnered on the project, which is the second local initiative supported by the Statewide Capital Projects Initiative.
