The Linton Fire Department responded swiftly to a downtown building collapse on Sunday evening. Initial crews arrived, quickly conducting a search of the structure and evacuating the surrounding area for safety. The collapse caused significant damage to three to four nearby vehicles, but no injuries were reported. Due to safety concerns, the building, which was considered a total loss, was scheduled for immediate demolition. Officials urge the public to stay clear of the area until demolition is complete and roads can be safely reopened.
