The City of Washington will hold a public hearing and a series of meetings on Monday, Aug. 25, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 200 Harned Avenue. The evening will open with a public hearing regarding True Investments, LLC’s compliance with its tax abatement. The Washington Common Council will then meet to consider final readings of several 2026 salary ordinances for city employees, firefighters, police officers, and elected officials, along with other city business including updates from the Daviess County Economic Development Corporation and discussion of a proposed Peddler’s Ordinance.
