A Saturday night traffic stop in Knox County ended with the arrest of 34-year-old Dajenvi Powe on multiple drug charges. Deputies pulled over Powe’s 2010 Chevrolet HHR around 8:40 p.m. on U.S. 41 near Ford Road for speeding and an improper headlight. Powe had no valid license, and deputies spotted a marijuana smoking device in the vehicle. When asked to step out, Powe handed deputies a bag of cocaine from his pocket. A search of the car uncovered digital scales, packaging materials, 37.7 grams of marijuana, and 7.4 grams of cocaine. Powe was booked into the Knox County Jail on charges of dealing in cocaine (Level 3 felony), possession of cocaine (Level 5 felony), and dealing in marijuana (Class A misdemeanor). He was released Sunday night after posting a $25,000 bond.
