West Boggs Park will host a Weed Wrangle on Tuesday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to noon, offering volunteers a chance to help protect the park’s prairies from invasive species. Organized by the Daviess-Martin Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA), the event will teach participants how to identify and remove woody invasive plants as well as unwanted trees that threaten native wildflowers and wildlife habitats. Volunteers will meet at the Cedarwood Shelter inside the park. No experience is necessary, and entry fees will be waived for participants. Tools and water will be provided, though attendees are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves. For more information, contact Emily Finch at 812-329-0048
