Buffalo Trace Festival Returns to Downtown Petersburg Oct. 9–11

The Buffalo Trace Festival is set for Thursday, Oct. 9 through Saturday, Oct. 11 in downtown Petersburg, presented by Discover Downtown Petersburg. The three-day event will feature live entertainment, carnival rides, vendors, parades, pageants, and special guest appearances. Highlights include the Pike Central Swing Choir and The Duke Boys on Thursday, a Garth Brooks tribute by No Fences on Friday, and headliners Meghan Patrick and Drake White on Saturday night. Festivities also include the Little Miss, Junior Miss, and Miss Buffalo Trace pageants, a beer and wine garden, and live broadcasts from Shake Broadcasting’s WAMW/WRZR. Main Street from 9th to 4th will close beginning Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 4 p.m. to prepare for the festival, and residents are asked to avoid parking in that area. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy a weekend of food, music, and community celebration.
