The City of Loogootee is planning a community-wide Halloween celebration on Thursday, Oct. 31, to coincide with Trick-or-Treat hours from 6 to 8 p.m. Festivities will center around the city’s new pavilion, where families, businesses, and groups are invited to decorate, set up tables, and hand out candy. A costume contest is planned, and organizers are considering additional activities such as a chili cook-off and hayrides. To cap off the evening, a community dance with Karson Burch of KB DJ & Entertainment will run from 8 to 10 p.m. City officials are encouraging anyone interested in participating to get involved and share ideas to make the event a fun-filled Halloween night for all.
