Bradford Douglas Myers, a man of resplendent creativity and intelligence, with a passion that illuminated every corner of his life, passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 37. Born on August 3, 1988, in Washington, Indiana, to his parents, Rudy and Diana “Palmer” Myers, Brad brought joy and music into the world and continued to do so until his last days in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Surrounding Brad in love and cherished memories are his father, Rudy Myers; his siblings, Ashley Christie (Daniel), Brittney Gilbert, and Ryan Howell; as well as his nieces and nephews, Dena Gilbert, Owen Christie, and Olivia Christie. Brad now joins those who went before him: his mother, Diana “Palmer” Myers, and his grandparents, Ernest R. and Esther “Fielder” Myers, and Raymond O. and Eldena “Potts” Palmer.

Brad’s journey through education was marked by success and glowing accolades. After being named most likely to succeed in his high school yearbook, he went on to dazzle his professors and peers alike at Indiana State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition. Alongside his academic prowess, Brad was also a proud member of the National Beta Club and Business Professionals of America (BPA), where he honed his leadership skills and his ability to inspire others.

Yet, Brad’s life was more than a list of achievements; it was a melody composed of diverse experiences and the joy of creation. He bartended with flair and charm at the Metro in Indianapolis, infused beauty into people’s lives as a candle maker and florist, and orchestrated memorable moments as a social event coordinator. In high school, he proudly led the Golden Pride as their Drum Major and enchanted audiences with his performances in the Advanced Choir Impulse, playing both the saxophone and bassoon with exceptional talent.

Brad’s musical genius shone brightest when he was seated before an organ or any keyboard. His fingers danced across the keys with a natural ease. He loved fragrances and music with equal fervor, finding symphonies in scents and harmonies in the everyday.

A man of deep faith, Brad revelled in the fellowship and serenity that came from attending services at both the United Methodist and United Church of Christ. His spirituality was a quiet yet profound aspect of his life, informing his generous spirit and his approach to both trials and celebrations.

Bradford Myers lived a life punctuated by moments of sheer brilliance and profound connection. His boundless creativity, relentless intelligence, and fervent passion transformed every space he inhabited, making the world significantly brighter. He will be deeply missed and eternally remembered by all those fortunate enough to have known him, heard his music, or been touched by his spirit.
