Our Community Foundation has awarded its Fall Teaching Innovator Grant to Washington Community Schools for the Fall Dramatic Play Center Project, led by teacher Kelsey Elsey. The project received a $250 grant to create a hands-on learning center that transforms the classroom into an apple orchard and pumpkin patch, helping students learn math, science, literacy, and teamwork through play-based experiences.
