AES Indiana has announced plans to launch a feasibility study to explore building small modular nuclear reactors at its Petersburg and Eagle Valley Generating Stations. The study will evaluate the potential for advanced nuclear technology to support long-term energy production, job creation, and innovation in Indiana. Governor Mike Braun recently toured the Petersburg site, where company officials highlighted AES Indiana’s efforts to invest in the state’s energy future and explore cleaner, more efficient power solutions. The company says the findings from the study will help guide future investment decisions as Indiana continues its transition toward sustainable energy sources.
