Knox County authorities are searching for a Vincennes man wanted in a vehicle theft reported early Tuesday morning. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says 27-year-old Nicholas Anthis is accused of stealing a 2009 dark gray Toyota Camry around 7 a.m. from West 15th Street in Vincennes. Anthis was last seen driving the vehicle and remains at large. Deputies are urging residents to take precautions, reminding the public to lock vehicles, avoid leaving them running unattended, and keep valuables out of sight to reduce theft risks. Anyone with information on Anthis’ whereabouts is encouraged to contact law enforcement.
