Daviess County Council to Consider $267K in Additional Appropriations

Daviess County taxpayers are advised that the County Council will consider a series of additional appropriations at its meeting on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Room at the Daviess County Courthouse.

The proposal includes a total of $267,851 in extra funding across several departments:

County General:

Superior Court – Pauper Attorney: $50,000

Circuit Court – Pauper Attorney: $50,000

Security Center – Institutional Medical: $30,000

Legal Services: $2,500

County General Total: $132,500

MVH (Motor Vehicle Highway):

Gas & Oil: $49,000

Restricted Opioid Settlement Fund:

Treatment Services: $54,000

E-911:

Equipment: $32,351

Taxpayers may attend the meeting to provide comments. After approval, the appropriations will be forwarded to the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance, which will issue a determination on the availability of funds within 15 days of receiving the council’s action.
