The Daviess County Council will consider $290,000 in additional appropriations during its regular meeting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in the Commissioners Room of the Daviess County Courthouse. Proposed appropriations include $250,000 from the Cumulative Capital Development fund for principal on the 2024 Courthouse Renovation Bond and $40,000 for a nurse practitioner position under the Health First Indiana program. Taxpayers will have the opportunity to comment at the meeting. Any approved appropriations will be submitted to the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance for review and determination of fund sufficiency.
