The Purdue Extension-Daviess County is offering free tax preparation assistance through the IRS-sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. VITA provides accurate tax filing for individuals and families with low to moderate incomes using IRS-certified volunteers. In addition to preparing returns, the program helps taxpayers claim eligible credits and connects them with financial education and asset-building resources.
