A Petersburg man has been sentenced after pleading guilty in a Pike County battery case. Scottie Lee Nicholson, 34, was sentenced March 16 in Pike Circuit Court after admitting to battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, a Level 6 felony, stemming from a 2024 incident in which the victim suffered facial injuries. Under a plea agreement, additional charges were dismissed. Nicholson received a sentence of one year and 196 days, with part of the time served and the remainder suspended. He will also serve one year of probation, pay more than $3,000 in restitution, and is subject to a no-contact order with the victim.
