Carolyn Sue Gee, 89, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed from this life with family by her side, on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Red Crest Hospice House in Bloomington. She was born on March 24, 1937 in Elnora, Indiana to Amos and Erma (Rogers) Roark. Carolyn married her loving husband, Ernest Clair Gee, on June 4, 1955.
Carolyn was a member of the Harrodsburg First Methodist Church and the Eastern Star Chapter #341. She worked at Westinghouse/ ABB, retiring in 1997 with 34 years of service.
Family left to cherish the memory of Carolyn include: her husband, Clair Gee; son, Mark A. (Mary) Gee of Mitchell; daughter, Vickie Sue Roberts of Bloomfield; granddaughter, Tabitha (Braden) Runyon-Vaught of Bloomfield; two grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by: her parents; granddaughter, Angela Holtsclaw; sisters, June Rafferty, Patricia Higgs, Betty Hostetter, Mary Syster, Dorothy Andis, Irene Cooper, Geneva Woodruff and Bertha Roark; brothers, Virgil Roark, Billy Roark, Bud Roark, Harold Roark, John Roark, Hubert Roark, Ernest Roark, Elmer Roark, Clifford Roark and Earl Roark.
Funeral services to honor the life of Carolyn will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Fred Haywood officiating. Carolyn will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, May 15 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be at 7:00 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home.
