Landon Mathies Headed Home!

Big news for a local family in Loogootee. Loogootee High School student-athlete Landon Mathies will be returning home today after being in the hospital since September 24th. Landon suffered from a serious four-wheeler accident resulting in a spine injury and brain stem bruise that was expected to leave him paralyzed.  Thanks to all your prayers and his expert medical team, he is walking, and his recovery continues. He will be heading home to Loogootee today for the holidays. The family plans to make a full lap through town to welcome him home around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon. The route will begin at the Redemption parking lot, then head north past the Dollar General and Dairy Master; from there, take a left at McDonald’s and head towards the square. Then turn left on Butcher Blvd and go to the school, then turn around and go back through on the way home. Welcome home, Landon!
