Ryan Marshall Snyder, 43, passed away at University Hospital IU Health on March 22, 2023. Ryan was born on June 24, 1979, in Olney, IL and is the son of Dick and Vickie (Claycomb) Snyder. He married Machelle Edwards on September 17, 2004.

 

Ryan was full of life and always the life of the party and would give the shirt off of his back to help anyone he could. He enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, cornhole, and spending time with his family. Ryan worked a plumber for Hacker Plumbing and drilling for several years until he purchased Hacker Plumbing in 2019.

 

Ryan was an avid supporter of the Pride of the Green Marching Band, Vincennes Indoor Percussion, and the Lincoln Lady Alices basketball team, Flags for Vets, Georgia Bulldogs football and the Indiana Hoosiers basketball program.

 

Ryan is survived by his wife, Machelle, his children, Derek and Lainey; parents, Dick and Vickie Snyder; mother-in-law, Robbin Kincaid; father-in-law, Shelley Edwards and his wife Sandra; grandparents-in-law, Don and Willie Heaton, Wilma Haulk; brother, John Snyder and his wife Andrea, sister, Emily Myers and her husband Brian; sister-in-law, Audrey Harper and her husband Dave; brother-in-law’s, Jeremy Mitchell and his wife Shalini, Rodney Terrell and wife Rachel, Jonathan Edwards; nieces and nephews, Austin, Whitney, Karsen, Benjamin, Trevor, Maya, Logan, Cole, Clay; honorary nieces and nephews, Kinsley, Briley, Kailey, Lexi, Kierra, Brayton, Kahre, Gus, Nolyn, Josten, Ryland, Blayne; honorary siblings, Joey Wyatt, Michael Pitcher, Dennis Williams, Steve Howard, Dave Renn, Freddie Jewel, Robbie Smith, Bart Kiefer, Nick Holscher, Maria Renn, and Amber Lockwood. Ryan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Denzal and Stella Claycomb, and John and Doris Snyder, brother, Eric Snyder, and his honorary brother, Ryan Hendrix.

 

Friends may visit with Ryan’s family from 1-4 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN 47591. Ryan’s Celebration of Life service will start at the conclusion of visitation at 4:00 pm at the funeral home with Robbie Smith officiating. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Ryan and his family. The Snyder family has requested donations be made in lieu of flowers to IU Health Foundation-University Hospital Transplant or First Vincennes Savings Bank (Ross Martin) for Lainey’s college fund.
