ISP Investigates Fatal Crash on I-64 in Perry County: Missing Motorist Found Deceased

The Indiana State Police (ISP) are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on I-64 in Perry County. The Perry County Sheriff’s Department received a report about a missing motorist, Maria Booker, 35, from Locust Grove, Virginia. Booker had left Colorado earlier that day, and no one had been able to contact her for several hours. The ISP and Perry County Sheriff’s Department started searching for Booker on I-64 based on the last known location provided by a family member. Around 7:20 PM, the Perry County Sheriff’s Department discovered a 2018 Chevrolet vehicle down an embankment in a densely wooded area near the 75.5-mile marker. The driver was found deceased. Positive identification of the deceased driver as Maria Booker was made through license and registration information.
