It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rosie Dillon, who departed from this world on March 17, 2024, at BridgePointe Health Campus. Rosie was born on June 10, 1932 in Freelandville, IN the daughter of Oscar and Matilda (Snyder) Kirk. Rosie married Rhodrick Dillon on November 22, 1949 and he preceded her in death on August 23, 1987.

Rosie was a cherished member of First Baptist Church, where she greatly enjoyed her Sunday School Class. She found joy in sewing, crafts, music and exploring different parts of the country through travel. She also cherished the friendships she established through the years with the residents and staff at BridgePointe. Above all, her heart was always fullest when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Helen Seirp and her significant other Scott Ledbetter of Vincennes; son, Bruce Dillon and his wife Judi of Elnora, IN; brother, Robert Kirk and his wife Beth of Madison, IN; her grandchildren, Brad Dillon and his wife Shannon, Nick Hagemeier and his wife Molly, Becca Ward and her husband Brian, Brandi Roark, Jawna Graniti and her husband Michael, Rod Emmons and his wife Betsy; several great grandchildren; several step grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Debbie Shepherd and her husband Steve; step-daughters, June Davis of Eubank, KY, Mary Britton of Avon, IN, as well as several nieces and nephews. Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Sarah Matilda Kirk, her son, Rodger Dillon and her siblings, Clarence, Jerry, Oscar, Gib, Imogene, Audrey, Glenna and Bruce.

A Funeral Service in honor of Rosie will be held at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN 47591 on March 21, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Prior to the service, a public viewing will take place at the same location starting at 11:00 am. Rosie will be laid to rest next to her husband Rhodrick in Oaktown Cemetery.
