The Indiana State Police is teaming up with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for the 26th “Prescription Drug Take Back” event on Saturday, April 27. This event helps to prevent prescription drug abuse and theft by providing a safe way to dispose of unwanted medications. Collection sites will be available nationwide for the proper disposal of expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs, including pills and liquid medications. Vaping pens without batteries and vaping cartridges will also be accepted. However, needles or sharps will not be accepted for disposal. This service is free, anonymous, and has no questions asked. The Indiana State Police Jasper Post will host a collection site from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on April 27, 2024, at 2209 Newton Street in Jasper. Please ensure no needles or sharps are included in your drop-off to keep officers safe.
