Mount Carmel Police and the Wabash County Coroner have confirmed the discovery of a body in the Wabash River on Sunday morning. Chief Mike McWilliams stated that the body was found near the Mount Carmel boat ramp by two individuals in a boat. The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Bryson Ledsinger from Avon, Indiana. Ledsinger had been reported missing some time ago. There was a Silver Alert issued for Ledsinger when he initially went missing on March 17. However, the alert was canceled on March 19 after he was found uninjured. Contact was made with Ledsinger after the alert was canceled, but his car was subsequently discovered near a bridge in Crawford County, Illinois. The case is currently under investigation, and an autopsy is scheduled for today.
