Annette S. Wallace

Annette S. Wallace, 67, of Vincennes, IN went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2024. She was born in Vincennes, IN on January 31, 1957, to the late Francis and Pauline (Vieck) Carie. Annette attended South Knox High School and was a member of the 1975 graduating class. She married the love of her life, John Wallace, on July 22, 1978.

Annette worked for many years as a special education teacher’s aide for South Knox School Corp but her love for the school and kids didn’t stop there. She proudly coached for 25+ years as well as running the concession stands for South Knox sporting events. She also was a ref for volleyball for 45 years in the southern Indiana region. Annette was also very passionate about cooking and baking for everyone and everything. She was involved catering for 40+ years to help with this passion. Annette was a devote believer of God and was a proud member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church alongside the Altar Society for St. Thomas Catholic Church.

In her free time, Annette enjoyed gardening flowers and vegetables, playing co-ed church league softball, and women’s league softball. She was also a die hard Atlanta Braves fan. Annette will be deeply missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Mary Kay Brothers.

Annette is survived by her husband, of 45 years, John Wallace; children Michael Wallace, Mitchel (Heidi Wathen) Wallace, Micah Wallace; grandchildren Damon Wallace, Kaedynce Wallace, Lucian Wallace; siblings Joe (Kay) Carie, Butch (Debra) Carie, Kenny (Debbie) Carie, Ron Carie, Paula (Mark) Heinz, Jackie (Raymond) Sievers, Sara (John) Pepmeier, Jan (Mike ) Mauriello; brother-in-law Kenny Brothers; grandpups Drax, Blu, Luna, Remi; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Wallace. Visitation will be held at 524 Broadway St. on April 17, 2024, from 4-8 pm and April 18, 2024, from 10-12 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church on April 18, 2024, following visitation at Goodwin-Sievers. Burial will take place at St. Thomas Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to South Knox Athletics in Annette’s honor.
