James Lee Alberti, 85, passed away peacefully at his Washington residence with his family at his side on April 12, 2024. He was born in Washington, December 18, 1938, to Walter Thomas and Anna Lucille (Kidwell) Alberti. He was married to Regina (Petty) Alberti and she survives.

James was a 1957 graduate of Washington Catholic High School and was retired from the Washington Nursing Center where he worked in the Maintenance Department. He also served in the United States Army Reserves. James was a WWII buff and enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.

Those who mourn James’ passing include his wife, Regina Alberti; daughters: Vicki Lynn (David) Igel of Evansville; Debbie (David) Neukam of Washington; and Angela Kay (David) Ward of Washington. James was blessed with seven grandchildren: Amanda (Mark) Katowitz of Evansville; Ali (Jess) Foury of Evansville; Brian (Hannah) Igel of Princeton; Matt (Jodie) Neukam of Washington; Melissa (Jeremy) Butcher of Washington; Drake (Valerie) Wuertz of Orlando, Florida; Logan Ward of Washington; and sixteen great-grandchildren. James leaves one brother, Steve Alberti of Washington.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Anna Alberti, a brother, Richard Alberti, a great-granddaughter, Henley Neukam, and a grandson, David Ward.

Visitation for James Lee Alberti will be Monday, April 15, 2024, 3:00 to 6:00 pm, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington.

Funeral services for James Lee Alberti will immediately follow the visitation and begin at 6:00 pm, April 15, 2024, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary. Mark Petty will officiate.

Burial will be at a later date.

Memorial donations may be sent to the Good Samaritan Hospice at 601 South 9th Street, Vincennes, Indiana 47591.
