Jesse L. Parsons, 90, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Poplar Care Strategies.
He was born August 18, 1933 in Loogootee, Indiana to the late Jesse N. and Ethel (Hovis) Parsons.
Jesse married Barbara Walton on December 25, 1955 and she preceded him in death on July 25, 2013.
Jesse was an Air Force veteran and served during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, Jesse was an agriculture salesman. He also was a pilot and a flight instructor. He was member of the Loogootee Methodist Church, American Legion Post 120, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9395, and the White River Lodge 332.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Parsons; parents, Jesse N. and Ethel Parsons.
Jesse is survived by his daughters, Diane (Delbert) Lengacher of Loogootee, Cheryl (Kim) Kiltz of Washington, and Carolyn (Roger) Downey of Loogootee; siblings, Harold (Louise) Parsons, Roger Parsons, and Donna Walker, all of Loogootee; grandchildren, Stephanie (Keith) Knepp, Courtney Williams, Ashley Harris, Lacey (Aaron) Gress, Derek (Ashley) Kiltz, Brecklyn (Justin) Kiltz, Dylan Kiltz, Nick (Jessica) Downey, and Blythe (Joby) Jeffers; great-grandchildren, Nichole, Dalton, Kayden, and Avery Knepp, Gabrielle and Trinity Williams, Riley, Brailey, and Jaley Harris, Renley Sellers, Isaiah, Anya, Kyran, and baby boy Gress due this week, Evie Neel, Ellington Downey, Carter Downey, Porter, Cutler, and Adler Jeffers; brother-in-law, Wayne Walton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the Loogootee Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church and Wednesday, April 17 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
