Yesterday evening, Knox County Sheriff’s deputies were involved in a pursuit that led to the arrest of a driver on multiple charges. At around 7:30 PM, a Sheriff’s deputy patrolling in Bicknell spotted a brown Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by an individual with an active warrant. The deputy attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the driver accelerated, running a stop sign and fleeing the town. Despite the deputy’s efforts to stop the vehicle, the driver continued to evade, leading to a brief pursuit. The driver eventually drove into a field, abandoned the vehicle, and fled on foot, leaving behind an adult female passenger and a child. Phillip Brown Jr., 35, was later located at a residence in Bicknell and arrested. He was then transported to the Knox County Jail and booked on charges including resisting law enforcement, neglect of a dependent, and driving while suspended with a prior conviction.
