Daviess County emergency personnel and deputies were kept busy with two separate accidents early yesterday morning on I-69, three miles north of US 50 at mile marker 65. According to reports, Bradley Morton of Indianapolis was northbound and lost control on the roadway, hitting the guard rail. His black SUV then continued to cross both lanes of traffic, hitting the west-side guard rail. His vehicle then came to rest in the northbound lane. Darvin Kemp of Montgomery was traveling northbound in a concrete truck heading to Odon when he observed a vehicle on the right side of the road with hazard lights on. The Grand Cherokee was driven by Lori Miles of Washington. She stated she hit debris from the first accident, which led to a flat tire, and she did not have a spare. As Kemp moved over to the left to avoid Miles, he was unable to avoid striking the black SUV in the northbound lane, resulting in a head-on collision. Bradley Morton was transported to St. Vincent Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
