James J. Harroll, 35, of Sandborn, was sentenced on Wednesday for child molesting. Last month, a jury consisting of seven men and five women deliberated for 35 minutes before convicting him. Harroll was found guilty of Level 1 and Level 4 counts of child molesting for acts committed in 2022 involving a 9-year-old victim. Special Judge Brian Johnson sentenced him to 37 years in prison. Knox County Prosecutor Dirk Carnahan stated that his office will continue to prosecute these types of cases vigorously and fight for sentences that reflect the harm done to a child.
