A traffic stop on I-69 in Pike County led to an arrest following a commercial vehicle inspection. Indiana State Police say Trooper Brayden Angermeier stopped a pickup truck pulling a car hauler near the 46 mile marker on Monday, April 13. The driver, identified as a Russian national with a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and work visa, was found to have been placed out of service multiple times in other states for operating without a required commercial driver’s license. During the inspection, officers determined the truck and trailer were overweight, classifying the vehicle as a commercial motor vehicle requiring a Class A CDL. The driver was arrested for operating a commercial vehicle while out of service or disqualified. The truck and trailer were towed from the scene, and additional violations were noted.
