Two Washington Community Schools board members have been recognized at the state level for their leadership and commitment to education. Tim Hedrick and Rob McCormick received the Exemplary Governance Award from the Indiana School Boards Association for 2025. The honor is awarded to board members who demonstrate strong dedication to professional development and student success. Only 314 school board members statewide earned recognition through the program this year, which is based on participation in training, workshops and other educational events.
